We believe the best way to honor our Savior is to carry out His command of making disciples of all nations and baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We do this in three ways:
We Are Supporters:
We financially support the Southern Baptist Convention through the Cooperative Program as well as the International Mission Board through special offerings like Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong, and Janie Chapman.
We Are Equippers:
As a congregation, we participate in two very special year-long projects to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of those in our community as well as children around the world:
- Our Careportal Ministry works closely with the Croswell Children’s home to meet the immediate physical needs of families active in the foster care system so that we can build relationships with them that will hopefully lead them into a closer walk with Jesus Christ. If you would like to know how to become involved with this ministry, please see Michelle DeVine.
- We are passionate supporters of Samaritan Purse’s Operation Christmas Child and collect items all year long to pack boxes to be sent all over the world to reach children of every nation in the name of Jesus. If you would like to know how to help with our Operation Christmas Child Ministry, please see Lori Reed.
We also support other local ministry parters, such as Sumter United Ministries and the Sumter Advocacy Center
We Are Senders:
Each year our congregation forms and trains a summer mission team to go to a different part of the world in the name of Jesus. We make both international and domestic mission trips, having already been to places as close as Atlanta and as far away as Zambia. If you are interested in being a part of our next trip, please see the chair of our Missions Team, Makaela Bishop.
