Our Staff
Rev. Billy Bishop, Pastor
Rev. Scott Mumper, Student Pastor
Scott was fortunate to grow up in a loving home and attended church every week as a child. He accepted Christ as Savior in 1985 and received the call to full-time Christian ministry at age 16 while on a mission trip. He has been working student ministry for 15 years now with a prior 7 years as a volunteer. Scott sees serving young families in the church not as a job, but as God's calling on his life, and the true passion of his heart.
Scott met his wife, Tina, in 1995, and they were married in 1998. They have been doing ministry together ever since. While she focuses on children and he focuses on youth, they have both been an active and integral part of each church they have served. They have five children: two of which are married and residing in other states. The three youngest are active participants here at Northside.
Scott’s main focus and goal has always been for students and their families to be deeply connected to God, the church, and the community through Bible study, worship, and service. He teaches that a relationship with Jesus is the most important part of anyone's life, and must be treated that way with daily Bible reading and prayer. He has a heart for missions and growing God’s Kingdom by growing the local church.
